What you’ll do:
We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically strong Manager, Strategic Growth & Development to join our Strategic Growth & Development team.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Growth, this role will play a key part in shaping and delivering Wesfarmers Health's growth agenda. You will drive complex growth projects from opportunity assessment through to execution, helping identify and unlock new avenues for sustainable growth across the Wesfarmers Health portfolio.
Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, you will evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, network expansion opportunities and new business ventures, developing robust commercial models, investment cases and strategic recommendations that support critical business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain robust commercial and financial models to evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, network expansion opportunities and other strategic growth initiatives
- Develop investment papers, business cases and Board presentations that clearly articulate commercial opportunities, risks, returns and strategic recommendations
- Lead the evaluation and delivery of strategic growth opportunities, including M&A, partnerships, joint ventures, franchise models and adjacent business opportunities
- Manage multiple concurrent growth projects from initial assessment through to implementation, ensuring strong governance, prioritisation and timely delivery
- Lead commercial due diligence activities and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Property, Category and other business functions
- Translate complex data, market intelligence and business insights into clear, decision-ready recommendations that support senior leadership decision-making
- Build influential stakeholder relationships across the business, presenting commercial insights, identifying strategic risks and opportunities, and driving alignment on growth initiatives
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience drawn from investment banking, private equity, corporate development, M&A, strategy consulting or business development within a corporate environment
- Demonstrated experience building financial models and business cases that have directly influenced investment or growth decisions
- Strong commercial and financial modelling capability, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse complex and ambiguous data sets
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex, multi-workstream projects within fast-paced environments
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse business functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior and non-financial audiences
- Degree in Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline preferred; postgraduate qualifications viewed favourably, but not required
