What you’ll do:
We have a fantastic 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a Technical Program Manager - AI to join our Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI team. In this newly created role, you will lead the delivery of high-impact AI initiatives, helping turn innovative ideas into production-ready solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Working across a diverse group of business and technology stakeholders, you'll drive the AI squad's delivery cadence, prioritisation, governance and execution while ensuring AI solutions are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to business objectives. You'll play a key role in shaping Wesfarmers Health's AI journey by bringing together cross-functional teams, managing complex programs, and driving the successful delivery of AI, machine learning and automation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the delivery of AI initiatives from discovery and proof of concept through to production
- Own the AI delivery roadmap, prioritisation process and quarterly planning cadence
- Partner with business sponsors and technology teams to define scope, success measures, timelines and benefits
- Manage stakeholder engagement across business and technology functions, including executive reporting
- Drive AI governance, risk management, value realisation and delivery best practices across the AI portfolio
What you’ll bring:
- 7-10 years Information Technology experience, including a minimum of 5 years managing technical programs or delivery squads, ideally spanning data, analytics, machine learning or AI products taken through to production
- Working fluency across the AI landscape, including generative AI, machine learning, agents and automation
- Superior knowledge of Lean/Agile delivery methodologies, with a track record of running short, time-boxed experiment-to-production cycles
- Familiarity with modern data and AI platforms and governance concepts
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare and tailor materials for diverse audiences ranging from Executive Leadership Teams to technical stakeholders
- Ability to gather relevant information, liaise with key stakeholders, analyse issues from different perspectives, and propose workable solutions that meet end-user needs
- Professional certifications in Project Management fields such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master, SAFe, Professional Scrum Master or PRINCE2 Practitioner will be highly regarded
- Relevant Bachelor Degree in a related technology area such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering
