What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Manager – Infrastructure Operations to lead and elevate our enterprise infrastructure capability across Wesfarmers Health.
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Technology – Operations & Risk, you will play a critical leadership role in managing the end-to-end infrastructure estate—covering modern workspace, on-premises platforms, networks, and end-user computing—while ensuring reliability, performance, and security across the business.
You will also lead our strategic partnership with our outsourced service provider ensuring service excellence, strong governance, and continuous improvement across outsourced service delivery.
This is a highly visible role that blends strategic planning with operational leadership, enabling business growth through secure, stable, and modern infrastructure services.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the management and continuous improvement of our enterprise infrastructure environment (network, server, and end-user platforms)
- Own and govern our outsourced service provider, including service performance, SLAs, commercial management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive operational excellence across service desk, desktop, and infrastructure support services delivered through a hybrid (internal + outsourced) model
- Oversee modern workplace platforms including Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, Azure AD/Entra ID, and virtual desktop environments
- Ensure infrastructure environments are secure, stable, and performant through strong operational practices (patching, monitoring, backup and recovery)
- Lead response and resolution for critical (P1/P2) infrastructure incidents, coordinating internal teams and partners
- Develop and execute the infrastructure strategy and roadmap aligned to enterprise technology objectives
- Drive lifecycle management including upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning activities
- Build strong relationships with Technology, Security, Architecture, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure services with business needs
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative hybrid operating model
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven experience managing large-scale outsourced service providers including SLA and commercial governance
- Strong technical expertise across modern workspace (Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure), on-prem infrastructure (Windows Server, VMware), and enterprise networking (Cisco/Meraki, SD-WAN)
- Demonstrated experience managing complex infrastructure environments across multiple locations and business units
- Strong incident management experience, leading major incident response and recovery
- Experience developing infrastructure strategies, roadmaps, and investment business cases
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor performance
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
