What you’ll do:

 

We’re looking for a commercially minded and customer‑focused Product Development Manager – Private Label to drive end‑to‑end delivery of private label product development across assigned Beauty & Personal Care categories.

 

Reporting to the Senior Product Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for translating category strategy into a robust, customer‑led new product development (NPD) pipeline—bringing high‑quality, compliant and competitively priced products to market on time.

 

You’ll manage products through the full stage‑gate lifecycle, partner closely with suppliers and cross‑functional teams, and ensure each launch delivers on range, value, quality and profitability outcomes. A little about the Private Label team:

 

Private label is a key pillar of our business strategy and is on an exciting growth journey.   Our private label team develop products across a wide range of beauty and health categories which are sold in both our retail and wholesale division (including Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, independent wholesale pharmacy customers and our latest retail formats atomica and Instant Scrips Pharmacy Health Hub).

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Proven experience in product development, category management or buying within a retail or FMCG environment
  • Demonstrated experience in end‑to‑end product development NPD lifecycle, including Stage Gate governance and execution
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build, evaluate and deliver commercially sound business cases
  • Knowledge of Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulations and experience in developing Therapeutic products
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with experience working within agreed commercial and governance parameters
  • Customer focused with experience identifying product, market and consumer trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant product development, inventory, project management and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Marketing, Retail or related discipline (preferred but not essential)
  • Relevant product development or category management qualifications desirable
