At Wesfarmers Health we strive to make health, beauty and wellness experiences simpler, more affordable and easier to access for all Australians.

About us:

What began in 1910 as a small co-operative of just three pharmacies has grown into Wesfarmers Health—a leading Australian organisation in health, beauty, and wellness.

Today, Wesfarmers Health proudly employs over 3,600 team members, all committed to delivering accessible, innovative, and trusted health and beauty services to Australians nationwide, across retail, medi-aesthetics, digital health, and wholesale and supply chain operations.

What you’ll do:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Label Category Trading Manager to join our Private Label team. Reporting to the Head of Private Label, you’ll be the commercial powerhouse that brings our private label strategy to life across the category landscape.

You’ll be the key link between Product Development and Category Management — ensuring our private label brands are not just developed well, but successfully traded, supported and championed in‑store and online.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop category‑specific Private Label trading playbooks covering pricing, positioning, planograms, promotional cadence and product adjacencies
  • Partner with Category Managers as their go‑to Private Label expert — embedding Private Label in core trading rhythms including range reviews, promotional planning and S&OP
  • Influence product development by bringing real commercial insight into SKU prioritisation, launch timing, packaging decisions and category fit
  • Manage Private Label inventory health, providing insights, remediation actions and forecasting intelligence
  • Own category‑level performance reporting, tracking penetration, margin, sell‑through, promotional impact and shelf compliance
  • Support continuous improvement in Private Label trading tools, processes and ways of working

If you're an experienced commercial leader ready to shape the next chapter of Private Label at Wesfarmers Health, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in Merchandise roles, (preferably with some time spent in Private label teams)
  • Proven experience as a Senior Category Manager or Buyer in health, beauty, or pharmacy retail — ideally with direct private label responsibility
  • Deep understanding of category trading fundamentals: range architecture, planograms, promotional mechanics, pricing corridors, and margin management
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and translate insights into executable plans
  • Experience managing inventory health, including forecasting, stock risk identification, and remediation
  • Comfortable sitting between two functions (product development and trading) and managing the inherent tension between long-term product strategy and short-term commercial realities
  • Understanding of Private Label compliance and regulatory requirements (preferred)
  • Experience within a franchise retail model (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Priceline or Wesfarmers Health categories (preferred)
  • Experience developing training materials or capability-building programs for commercial teams (preferred)
  • Tertiary qualification (Business, Finance / Procurement, Marketing or Retail ideally)

Why us?

  • Access to employee benefits across Wesfarmers including team member discounts at Bunnings, Kmart, Target, Officeworks, OnePass, Priceline, atomica and Clear Skincare Clinics
  • Ongoing professional development and career opportunities across the Wesfarmers Health Division and the broader Wesfarmers Group
  • Novated leasing options
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - available to all team members and their immediate family members, 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Beautiful outdoor terrace for work and recreation
  • Food, coffee and health & wellbeing facilities onsite including a landlord operated gym
  • Dedicated end of trip facilities (cycle racks, showers, lockers)
