What you’ll do:

 

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced People & Capability Regional Business Partner to join the People team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing people and capability strategies that support the achievement of business goals within our Wholesale Supply Chain.

 

Reporting to the People & Capability Manager – Supply Chain ,you will provide coaching, guidance, advice, and support to our leaders on a wide range of people and capability matters, including organisation design, change management, capability development, talent identification and succession planning, culture and engagement, leadership effectiveness, employment relations, performance development, and reward & recognition.

 

This role includes involvement in high-profile project work, including bringing two of our newly constructed automated distribution centres online. The role also offers flexibility to work between our Flinders St Support Office and Dandenong South Distribution Centre, along with interstate travel to Launceston, Adelaide and Perth.

 

Other key responsibilities include:

 

Culture & Engagement:

 

  • Partner with Distribution Centre Managers to establish work practices that foster an exceptional employee experience, create a positive and high-performing team culture, and drive sustainable growth.
  • Drive People Experience projects and initiatives, including Culture and Engagement activities, Workplace, Diversity & Belonging programs, and Capability programs to enhance our employee value proposition.

 

Project & Change Management:

 

  • Act as the People Stream Lead on two major projects transitioning the workforce from manual distribution centres to newly constructed automated distribution centres in Adelaide and Perth.
  • Drive and embed change to enhance business performance, including partnering with the business on organisation design initiatives and leading business change programs.

 

Capability, Talent & Succession:

 

  • Partner in building effective talent pipelines by identifying talent, strategic workforce plans, and talent and succession planning.

 

Employee & Industrial Relations:

 

  • In conjunction with Group ER, support the Distribution Centre Manager in planning and negotiation of Enterprise Agreements
  • In conjunction with the central People Advisory service, undertake complex ER investigations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Proven experience in a Senior P&C Business Partnering role within FMCG or other unionised environments.
  • P&C business partnering across multiple geographically dispersed sites is desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and manage change effectively.
  • Exceptional influencing skills, including collaboration with multiple business partners and COEs.
  • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen by aligning people strategies with business priorities
  • Strong ER/IR skills, including experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiation.
  • Experience in Transformation, Change, and Project Management.
  • Comfortable in ambiguous and changing environments.
  • Experience in communicating and working with Unions and other governing bodies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage projects end-to-end.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or relevant discipline
