What you’ll do:
We are seeking an Insights & Automation Analyst to join our Merchandise Central team on an 18-month maximum-term contract. Reporting to the Senior Manager - Merchandise Initiatives, you'll play a key role in transforming how Merchandise Central accesses, uses and acts on data.
Working across Space Planning, Trade Planning, Strategic Supplier, Merchandise Planning and Merchandise Initiatives, you'll develop reporting solutions, deliver meaningful insights and identify opportunities to automate manual processes. You'll help create a more efficient, data-driven function by improving access to trusted information, reducing administrative effort and supporting stronger commercial decision-making.
Key activities include:
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and performance metrics across Merchandise Central
- Improve access to critical business information and help establish a single source of truth for reporting
- Identify and implement automation opportunities using Power Automate, Power Query and Copilot
- Support the development of self-service reporting capabilities that empower teams to access insights independently
- Champion the adoption of AI and automation tools to improve productivity and ways of working
- Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, productivity dashboards and performance reporting
- Support analysis of promotional performance, forecast accuracy and trade investment effectiveness
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions

What you’ll bring:
- Experience in reporting, analytics or business intelligence, including internships, placements or early-career roles
- Retail or FMCG experience is desirable but not essential
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI
- Strong Excel skills
- Exposure to Power Query, Power Automate or SQL is desirable
- A genuine interest in using AI tools such as Copilot and Claude to work smarter
- Able to turn data into clear insights and recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and care for data accuracy
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline
