What you’ll do:

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team, partnering closely with our Pharmacy Business Development teams.

 

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager – Pharmacy Business Development, you’ll play a key role in evaluating customer opportunities and strategic partnerships, providing financial insights and commercial guidance that support profitable growth across our Wholesale business.

 

This is an opportunity for a curious, commercially focused finance professional who enjoys getting close to the business, translating complex financial information into actionable insights, and influencing commercial decisions.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Partner with State Pharmacy Business Development teams, providing commercial finance insights that support robust decision-making
  • Lead financial modelling and commercial evaluations for customer opportunities, including new business tenders and retentions
  • Develop and evaluate business cases, using NPV and other commercial measures to support profitable growth and investment decisions.
  • Analyse pricing, margins and competitor offers to identify commercially viable opportunities and improve customer value propositions
  • Own financial reporting for new business wins and losses, delivering clear insights and commentary on performance to senior stakeholders
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities in partnership with Pharmacy Business Development teams
  • Analyse financial results and key variances, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting, commercial tools and processes, including automation of manual activities.

What you’ll bring:

 

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Finance roles including a minimum of 5 years’ relevant business partnering experience
  • FMCG, Retail or Pharmaceutical experience an advantage
  • Strong commercial focus with ability to distil data into clear, actionable recommendations and reports for senior management
  • Ability to operate in a lean environment, with broad and dynamic activities and responsibility scope
  • Advanced Excel and extensive financial modelling experience with large and multiple data sources
  • Proven experience in financial evaluation of projects (NPV, ROC etc.) and initiatives and the preparation of formal business cases
  • Extensive experience in management accounting, performance management and reporting, business planning and budgeting
  • Experience using large ERP systems & BI tools (SAP, BPC, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance related discipline
  • CPA/CA qualification
