About the role:

 

The Communications Manager is responsible for helping to develop and execute our corporate and internal communications plan, which encompasses Wesfarmers Health’s growing portfolio of businesses.

 

You’ll engage business units – including Pharmacy & Retail, Digital Health and MediAesthetics – to develop strategic communications campaigns that leverage our communication channels and tactics to build resonance and connection with our people.

 

Ultimately, your communications will help connect our people to the Wesfarmers Health strategy and engage them in our transformation.

 

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

 

Internal Communications:

 

  • Engage Wesfarmers Health business units to develop strategic communications campaigns to drive internal alignment
  • Manage key communication tactics (e.g. enterprise town halls, senior leader conferences and forums, strategy month)
  • Develop communications for the Health Leadership Team as required (emails, presentations, events)
  • Optimise internal communications channels, including our intranet platform 
  • Support other internal communications activities, as required.

 

Corporate Communications

 

  • Ensure Wesfarmers Health is represented appropriately via corporate channels including the website and LinkedIn
  • Provide support for award submissions, speaking engagements, testimonials and case studies, maintaining logs for all activities
  • Support other corporate communications activities as required.

 

What you’ll bring:

 

Our ideal candidate would have the following experience and attributes:

 

  • 6+ years’ experience in corporate affairs, communication, public relations or marketing, including experience working with senior leaders
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing (desired)
  • Considerable experience within diverse, complex organisations, preferably in the health, retail and/or franchised sectors
  • Sophisticated understanding of communications and influencing strategies, how they come to life, and how success is measured
  • Strategic thinker with experience in executing strategic plans
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to build strong relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders to influence outcomes
  • Creative, energetic, ‘can do’ approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Exceptional project management, time management and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
