What you’ll do:

 

We're looking for a commercially savvy, curious and influential Commercial Manager – Pharmacy Retail to play a pivotal role in driving performance across one of Wesfarmers Health's most important retail businesses.

 

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager – Pharmacy & Beauty Retail, you'll partner closely with the Executive General Manager and Head of Pharmacy Retail to strengthen commercial decision-making, improve performance visibility and support the ongoing growth and profitability of the business.

 

You'll own the day-to-day commercial management of the Pharmacy Retail business, leading key planning and performance processes including weekly trade reporting, monthly performance reviews, budgeting, forecasting, risks and opportunities management, and strategic commercial analysis. You'll also work across a broad stakeholder network to deliver insights that support business priorities and long-term value creation.

 

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys partnering with senior leaders, and can confidently move between detailed financial analysis and strategic commercial thinking. You'll be a trusted advisor who brings strong commercial acumen, analytical rigour and a continuous improvement mindset to every challenge.

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Demonstrated relevant business partnering experience with at least 5 years spent in leadership roles
  • Strong Retail experience, with business partnering a pharmacy / beauty function an advantage
  • Strong commercial focus with ability to distill data into clear, actionable reports for senior management
  • Extensive experience in management accounting, performance management and reporting, business planning and budgeting
  • Advanced Excel and extensive financial modelling experience with large and multiple data sources
  • Experience in financial evaluation of projects (NPV, ROC etc.) and initiatives and the preparation of formal business cases
  • Experience using large ERP systems & BI tools (SAP, BPC, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance related discipline
  • CPA/CA qualification
