What you’ll do:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Demand and Supply Planner to join our Private Label, Ethicals & Replenishment (PLER) team on an 18-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Demand and Supply Manager – Beauty, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, insight-driven demand plans while ensuring strong supply execution across all channels.
In this role, you will operate across the full end-to-end planning cycle—combining demand forecasting, inbound supply coordination with suppliers, and outbound replenishment to stores, eCommerce and wholesale customers.
You will integrate commercial inputs, promotional activity, lifecycle considerations and analytical forecasting techniques to drive high availability, reduce working capital and optimise inventory productivity. Working cross-functionally, you will partner closely with Category Managers, Merchandise Planning, Finance, eCommerce, Supply Teams and Supplier Partners to support integrated planning forums and shape the monthly demand and supply cycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain SKU-site and aggregated demand forecasts across assigned categories
- Manage baseline and promotional forecasts, incorporating seasonality, trends and commercial drivers
- Lead weekly forecast exception reviews and implement corrective actions
- Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely inbound supply and supplier alignment
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage delivery performance, resolve issues and improve availability outcomes
- Monitor inventory performance including cover, weeks of supply, aged stock and safety stock health
- Identify and recommend inventory actions such as transfers, rescheduling, markdowns and parameter updates
- Manage demand and replenishment for new product launches, discontinued items and lifecycle changes
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, supply chain analytics or inventory management
- Experience in retail, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or long lead time planning environments preferred
- S&OP / IBP cycle experience
- Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and inbound supply processes
- Experience with end-to-end supply chain processes including demand forecasting, purchasing, warehousing, and logistics
- Strong analytical capability with proficiency in interpreting sales and inventory data
- Commercial acumen and understanding of category drivers
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (including data modelling)
- Forecasting systems: SAP (UDF/IBP/APO), Blue Yonder, o9, Anaplan, E2Open or similar
- ERP systems: SAP and/or F&R (preferred)
- BI tools: Power BI, Tableau or equivalent
- Strong data analysis and data-visualisation capabilities
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Engineering, Analytics or equivalent (desirable)
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or related discipline with strong numeracy focus
