What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Category Assistant to support our Retail Brands (Ethicals) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with Category Managers, build your commercial and analytical capability, and contribute to the delivery of key category initiatives.
You’ll play a vital role in supporting the execution of our Retail Brands strategy—balancing administration, reporting, stakeholder coordination and data insights to drive efficiency and performance across the category.
No two days will be the same, as you help keep operations running smoothly while identifying opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the delivery and administration of Retail Brands programs, including the API Generics Program and dispensary services initiatives
- Manage pricing templates, sales deals and updates across wholesale and retail channels
- Monitor and communicate upcoming and expiring deals to key stakeholders
- Maintain and update reporting tools such as control tables and pricing files
- Manage the Retail Brands inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution of queries
- Assist in producing and distributing monthly communications and bulletins
- Collaborate with internal teams including Supply Chain, Marketing, Commercial and Store Operations, as well as external supplier partners
- Analyse dispensary and sales data to uncover trends and support data-driven decision making
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience as a Category, Buying or Merchandise Assistant (not essential)
- Desirable experience in the retail pharmaceutical industry, with an understanding of dispense software's, product range, government and scheme compliance requirements
- Basic understanding of Category Management and relevant legislation
- Basic understanding of inventory management processes and flow‑on impacts
- Exemplary multi-tasking, organisational and time management skills
- Ability to be flexible and maintain a positive outlook toward change in a fast-paced environment
- High school certificate
