What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a Strategy Analyst – Merchandise to join our Commercial Excellence team in the Pharmacy & Retail business unit. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Strategy Manager – Merchandise to shape data-driven strategies that improve profit, drive efficiency, and unlock growth across our merchandise categories.
You’ll analyse market trends, competitor activities, and merchandise performance to generate insights that help guide decision-making. Your work will support category strategy development, create strong business cases, and contribute to initiatives that enhance the value we deliver to customers and franchise partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to category strategy development using strategic frameworks and data-driven approaches.
- Conducting market research, competitor analysis, and identifying consumer trends.
- Analysing merchandise performance and market data to generate actionable insights.
- Building financial models to assess opportunities and execution strategies.
- Creating guidelines and playbooks to support category teams in implementing strategies.
- Tracking and evaluating the performance of merchandising initiatives and recommending improvements.
What you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in strategy consulting, merchandising, data and analytics, customer insights, or a related field.
- Proven track record of working on complex and strategic projects.
- Thought leader and critical thinker with strong analytical skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong influencing abilities.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and effectively engage with individuals at all levels within an organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree with a consistently outstanding academic record.
