The opportunity:
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Manager, People Services to lead and integrate critical people operations and governance functions across the division. This role is instrumental in driving seamless service delivery, ensuring compliance excellence, and elevating the overall employee experience. Reporting to the Head of Talent, Reward & Services, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team and work closely with senior leaders to translate people strategy into operational execution while maintaining robust governance frameworks.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operational Leadership Provide strategic oversight of end-to-end people operations, including onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and offboarding, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
- Compliance & Governance Uphold rigorous compliance with employment legislation, industrial instruments, and organisational policies, embedding strong governance across all people processes.
- Employee Relations Lead the people advisory function, offering expert guidance on complex and sensitive matters to mitigate risk and support effective decision-making.
- Policy Development Drive the development, review, and governance of employment policies, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and legislative requirements.
- Vendor & Partner Management Oversee strategic relationships with outsourcing and service delivery partners to ensure performance, efficiency, and value.
- Transformation & Continuous Improvement Champion innovation, digital transformation, and process optimisation—including opportunities leveraging AI and automation—to enhance service quality and operational effectiveness.
- Leadership Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in people/HR functions, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
- Professional HR certification (CAHRI, CPHR, or equivalent) highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in people operations, compliance, and employee relations within multi-site organisations.
- Proven track record managing outsourced service providers and vendor relationships.
- Experience implementing HR technology and driving digital transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading policy development and governance frameworks.
- Experience managing compliance and audit requirements.
- Exposure to retail, healthcare, or multi-brand environments is desirable.
