About the role:

 

 

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Store Operations who will be a transformational leader responsible for driving operational excellence, digital evolution, and workforce optimisation across all Wesfarmers Health retail brands.

 

 

This role will shape the future of multi‑brand retail operations by uplifting digital capability, embedding advanced workforce planning, strengthening process excellence, and ensuring exceptional and consistent customer experience at scale.

 

 

You will lead the Store Execution, Workforce Planning, Customer Experience Operations, and Communications & Digital Engagement teams—creating a unified, modern, digitally‑enabled operations function built for a high‑growth, high‑performance retail network. 

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

 

  • Set and lead the digital-first operational strategy for all Wesfarmers Health retail brands, ensuring scalable, repeatable, insight‑driven and brand‑appropriate operating frameworks.
  • Oversee the internal communications strategy and execution across all retail brands, ensuring strong alignment, clear messaging, and consistent communication channels to both Corporate Stores and Franchise Partners.
  • Build and lead the longer‑term communications strategy, uplifting communications maturity and supporting brand, operational, and organisational priorities.
  • Build and lead a centralised Store Support ecosystem covering execution, workforce planning, communications, CX operations, digital platforms, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive advanced workforce planning and labour optimisation, using modelling, forecasting, and scenario planning to deliver productivity uplift, labour efficiency, and wage control across Corporate Stores (Priceline and atomica).
  • Lead enterprise workforce transformation initiatives that remove friction, uplift frontline productivity, and streamline multi-brand corporate store processes.
  • Accelerate the adoption of AI-enabled optimisation tools, strengthening demand forecasting, operational planning, labour allocation, and decision-making.
  • Lead digital enhancement and evolution of WorkJam, including mobile-first workflow optimisation, automation of routine tasks, intelligent tasking, and real‑time store support.
  • Lift digital confidence and capability across all brands through structured enablement, training, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion end-to-end digital operations strategy, ensuring platforms (including WorkJam) support communications, learning, execution, and engagement in a simple, intuitive and future‑ready way.
  • Act as a transformational retail leader, relentlessly focused on process excellence, simplification, and continuous improvement at scale.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships, influencing at all levels to align operations, digital, people, and commercial outcomes.

 

 

What you’ll bring:

 

 

  • Deep experience in multi-site retail operations, with proven leadership across digital platforms, workforce planning, optimisation, CX operations, and communications.
  • Demonstrated success as a transformational leader, with a track record of simplification, change leadership, digitisation, and future‑state design.
  • Advanced commercial and analytical capability in labour modelling, forecasting, operational planning, and workforce strategy.
  • Proven expertise leading workforce planning portfolios, including labour standards, modelling, optimisation, and store productivity improvement programs.
  • Experience successfully deploying AI-enabled tools, such as predictive forecasting, automated workforce optimisation, intelligent tasking, or next‑best‑action engines to improve performance.
  • Strong digital capability, with experience improving platform maturity, driving digital adoption, enhancing end‑user experience, and embedding digital ways of working in large retail environments.
  • Ability to convert digital and AI insights into tangible operational outcomes, improving productivity, reducing manual effort, and modernising store support functions.
  • Exceptional communication, influence, leadership presence, and the ability to drive alignment across a broad range of stakeholders.
