What you’ll do:
Join our Private Label Team for an exciting 12-month parental leave cover opportunity as a Product Development Specialist. Reporting to the Senior Product Development Manager, this role is responsible for executing the private label product development roadmap. You will build strong relationships with our suppliers to launch affordable, high quality product ranges which our customers will love.

A little about the Private Label team:
Private label is a key pillar of our business strategy and is on an exciting growth journey. Our private label team develop products across a wide range of beauty and health categories which are sold in both our retail and wholesale division (including Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, independent wholesale pharmacy customers and our latest retail formats atomica and Instant Scrips Pharmacy Health Hub).
Collaborating closely with the Category Teams, the Specialist:
- Develops NPD pipelines and product strategies within Health and Beauty categories
- Is responsible for product development from concept through to on-shelf of Private Label Health and Beauty product ranges and line extensions within our retail and wholesale portfolios, project-managing the development and timelines
- Researches and presents innovations and market insights
- Identifies product, range, and brand gaps within the Private Label portfolio and presents opportunities to the wider Private Label and Category teams
- Reports weekly on Private Label business performance within your categories
- Supports strategic sourcing from key supply partners, effectively managing relationships to drive development plans, improve quality, optimise profitability, and reduce risk

What you’ll bring:
- Relevant experience in Product Development, Category Management, or R&D, ideally within health and beauty categories
- Experience in product development processes, having worked closely with inventory teams, including demand planning and forecasting
- Knowledge of TGA regulations is beneficial
- Excellent time and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver exceptional work within required timeframes
- Project management experience to drive development projects efficiently, and to document and communicate key deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Sound analytical skills to analyse data and communicate insights to address and support performance
- Passionate about health and beauty categories, staying up to date with industry trends
- Perseverance and resilience to manage setbacks, communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, and work within a fast-paced environment
- Flexible, with a positive outlook towards change, ability to self-manage, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite and common systems
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
