What you’ll do:
As our Privacy Specialist, you’ll play a key role in strengthening customer trust and embedding privacy by design across one of Australia’s most diverse health and beauty networks. Working at the intersection of health, technology and data, this role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves solving problems, engaging with people and is passionate about the customer experience.
You’ll work on enterprise-wide cultural programs, strengthen privacy frameworks, partner on key technology and AI projects and provide support through expert advice and the Privacy Impact Assessment process.
This role works collaboratively with all areas of the business and joins the ranks of a strong wider network of privacy, cyber, data governance and AI specialists in the broader Wesfarmers Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), analysing data flows, identifying risks and recommending practical, balanced controls.
- Build and champion a positive privacy culture through training, advice, and maintaining guidance
- Design data diagrams to help teams understand information flows through systems and service
- Design and monitor privacy metrics with continuous improvement of policies, practices and tools
- Support incident response
- Collaborate with legal, tech, and governance teams on privacy compliance and consent management, data governance and security and transparency practices

What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a privacy, legal, technology, or healthcare compliance role.
- Demonstrated understanding of privacy laws and concepts, experience and interest in the healthcare industry highly desirable.
- Passionate about privacy, with a focus on keeping data organised and secure.
- Strong understanding of technology and how data flows across interconnected systems.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication (verbal and written).
- Proficient in the MS Office suite and data analysis tools, experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software is beneficial.
- Holds qualifications in related fields such as privacy, law, healthcare, or technology.
