What you’ll do:
We are seeking a visionary Head of Technology – Retail Stores to shape the future of technology across our national retail network. Reporting to the General Manager, Technology – Pharmacy & Retail, you will be the strategic and operational leader responsible for ensuring our store and online retail technology ecosystem is reliable, scalable, and commercially aligned.
This senior leadership role places you at the heart of our retail transformation—working with executives across Pharmacy and Beauty Retail to ensure technology becomes an enabler of exceptional customer experiences and business performance.
In this key role, you will:
- Serve as the strategic technology partner to senior retail leaders—anticipating shifts in retail trends, customer behaviour, and business strategy.
- Ensure end‑to‑end service excellence for all retail technology platforms.
- Define, prioritise, and govern major technology initiatives that enable store growth, operational efficiency, and digital innovation.
- Act as a trusted advisor on emerging retail technology trends, translating them into actionable roadmaps.
- Secure senior executive support for critical programs, driving effective change management and cross‑functional communication.
- Build and nurture strong vendor partnerships to deliver best‑in‑class retail technology solutions.
- Oversee budget planning and financial management across your technology portfolio.
- Lead, grow, and empower a high‑performing team of technology specialists, ensuring clarity, alignment, and capability uplift.

What you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated Technology experience, ideally in a similar organisation
- Proven experience in Senior Technology Leadership/business partnering roles
- Proven experience in Agile methodologies
- Experience in working cross functionally at senior levels in a matrix organisation
- Experience in leading and managing teams & leading large scale projects
- Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically
- Understanding of the current and emerging technology and their potential business impact
- Outstanding communication skills including the ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external clients and stakeholders in a range of contexts
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and build sustainable productive working relationships with stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment and champion a “think customer first” culture.
- Appropriate Tertiary qualification ideally at post graduate level
