What you’ll do:

 

We are looking for a visionary Head of Private Label to lead the transformation of our Private Label portfolio across Wesfarmers Health channels. Reporting to the General Manager – Private Label, Ethicals & Replenishment, you will drive strategy, innovation, and commercial growth for one of the most dynamic areas of our business.

 

This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Wesfarmers Health’s Private Label brands, ensuring they deliver value and resonate with millions of customers nationwide. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain, and Category Management to bring bold ideas to life.

 

In this key role, you will:

 

  • Lead the Private Label P&L, driving revenue, margin, and market share growth.
  • Define strategy and multi-year plans to accelerate Private Label growth.
  • Guide a team of product development experts to deliver innovative, customer-focused products.
  • Develop category playbooks to shape brand, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimise portfolio performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Champion ethical sourcing, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build strategic supplier partnerships and drive collaborative business planning.

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Extensive experience leading teams, with over 10 years in merchandising roles, including a minimum of 8 years in Private Label—ideally within the Health & Beauty industry
  • Proven procurement and category management background with knowledge of best practice
  • Superior category commercial and financial knowledge and skills
  • Strong understanding of inventory management processes, including demand planning, forecasting, and supplier management
  • Knowledge of Private Label compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills to draw insights from complex customer data and present these alongside creative solutions
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance/Procurement, Marketing, or Retail (ideally)
