What you’ll do:

 

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Franchise Network Development to join the team. In this role, you will spearhead the expansion of our retail and pharmacy network across the Wesfarmers Health group.

 

You’ll lead a team focused on identifying and onboarding new franchise partners, while enhancing the performance and sustainability of our existing network. Reporting to the General Manager, Property & Network Development, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering our national network strategy across key banners including Priceline Pharmacy, InstantScripts Health Hub, and Pharmacy 4 Less.

 

Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive network strategy using data, GIS tools, and market insights
  • Leading franchise recruitment and building strong, enduring relationships with pharmacy owners and industry stakeholders
  • Overseeing renewals, negotiations, and onboarding of franchise partners
  • Driving innovation by staying ahead of retail and franchising trends
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver the national network plan
  • Coaching and developing a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned with Wesfarmers Health values

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Broad knowledge and solid relationships with pharmacy and allied industry professionals, including those in finance and banking sectors
  • A proven ability to broker complex negotiations and deliver strong commercial outcomes
  • Strong leader with a proven ability to coach, develop, and hold team members to account
  • Strong ability to engage, collaborate, and negotiate with C-Suite internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Highly strategic with advanced levels of commercial acumen and financial understanding
  • Ability to develop and influence others through excellent verbal and written communication
  • Bachelor’s degree with franchise-related qualifications or experience preferred
