Communications, PR & Events Coordinator

Date: 3 Sept 2025

Location: Docklands, VIC, AU

Company: Wesfarmers Health

Who are we?

While you may not be as familiar with Wesfarmers Health (yet!), you would know some of the brands in our portfolio: Priceline Pharmacy, atomica, Clear Skincare, InstantScripts and SILK Laser Clinics to name a few.  At Wesfarmers Health, we love what we do and our team is enthusiastic about making health, beauty & wellness experiences simpler, more affordable and easier to access.

About the role:

The Communications, PR & Events Coordinator is the metaphorical glue of the team. You will report to the Head of Communications, PR & Events and also work across the Corporate & Internal Communications and PR & Events functions. No day will be the same and you’ll manage small projects yourself and be part of supporting big internal and external projects and activities too.

First and foremost, we’re looking for someone with a great attitude, exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to hone their communication skills in a hard-working (but fun!) team.

As this role supports the whole team, we need someone who is adept at working with - and for - many stakeholders.

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

Corporate & Internal communication:

  • Support key internal communications projects & events
  • Manage supplier activations
  • Support other internal communications activities as required
  • Supporting Wesfarmers Health brand activity
  • Manage media monitoring & media monitoring provider
  • Manage Comms mailboxes

PR & Events:

  • Support annual conference
  • Support annual PR event
  • Support other PR & events activities

Administration

  • Manage reporting and post implementation reviews
  • Coordinate meetings and workshops
  • Managing general admin for the team and other tasks as required

If you’re passionate about health and beauty and are an allrounder who can write excellent copy one minute, brainstorm creative PR ideas the next, and get really excited by creating a runsheet, this could be your perfect role!

Our ideal candidate would have the following experience and attributes:

  • 2+ years’ experience in communications, public relations or marketing (but if there are graduates out there who think they can fit the bill – you’ll be considered)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative and energetic, with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Curious, with an innate desire to seek to understand
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Bachelor Degree communications, public relations or marketing (or another degree with transferable skills)

What you’ll get:

  • A fantastic work culture based off our four values – Start with the Customer, Do with Heart, Work as a Team and Own your Impact
  • A 20% staff discount at our atomica stores and access to other staff discounts at Bunnings, Kmart, Target, Officeworks, Priceline and Clear Skincare Clinics
  • ‘Better Because of You' recognition program. Team members can recognise their peers, team or other business units, with winners taking part in our annual awards.
  • Novated leasing options
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - available to all team members and their immediate family members, 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Beautiful outdoor terrace for work and recreation
  • Food, coffee and health & wellbeing facilities onsite including a gym
  • Dedicated end of trip facilities (cycle racks, showers, lockers).
  • Ongoing professional development and career opportunities across the Wesfarmers Health Division and the broader Wesfarmers Group

If this sounds like you, please get in touch with your CV and a cover letter outlining why you are the perfect fit for this role. Bonus points for including an example of an Australian brand that has done something interesting in the PR or Marketing space in the past six months.
