About us:

What began in 1910 as a small co-operative of just three pharmacies has grown into Wesfarmers Health—a leading Australian organisation in health, beauty, and wellness.

Today, Wesfarmers Health proudly employs over 3,600 team members, all committed to delivering accessible, innovative, and trusted health and beauty services to Australians nationwide, across retail, medi-aesthetics, digital health, and wholesale and supply chain operations.

What you’ll do:

We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious Category Assistant to help manage and grow our vibrant skincare range. This is your chance to work alongside experienced Category Managers, learn the ropes of category management, and make a real impact in a fast-paced retail environment.

You’ll support the day-to-day running of the category, keep operations on track, and use your analytical skills to uncover trends that shape planning, buying, and pricing decisions. With a mix of admin, analysis, and problem-solving, no two days will be the same.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse customer data to uncover insights that drive category strategy and enhance the Priceline customer experience
  • Support the delivery of category initiatives from insights to procurement, inventory, store and online operations, through to stock resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sales growth and meet category targets
  • Ensure smooth execution of daily operations while keeping the customer at the centre of everything you do

If you’re organised, analytical, a great communicator, and eager to grow your career in retail, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll bring:

  • A foundational understanding of Category Management and inventory management processes
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify insights, and communicate them clearly
  • Confidence in data management — from maintaining accurate records to preparing insightful reports
  • A proactive mindset, with initiative, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • A growth mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and grow the category portfolio
  • The ability to self-manage while collaborating as a supportive team member during peak periods
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Proven skill in providing clear instructions and guidance to help others implement processes effectively
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced skills essential)
  • Previous experience as a Buyer’s Assistant or Category Assistant is highly desirable

Why us?

  • Access to employee benefits across Wesfarmers including team member discounts at Bunnings, Kmart, Target, Officeworks, OnePass, Priceline and Clear Skincare Clinics.
